I transferred a site to the wrong WordPress.com account
-
I transferred a site to the wrong WordPress.com account. I thought I could log-in using the account name I entered for the transfer and now cannot access it. It’s possible that the username is attached to an old inactive email and I do not have any other proof of ownership to change the password. I need to regain access to the site not necessarily the account I attempted to transfer to. Please advise.

Hi there,
The blog listed above is not the blog I need help with.
Without knowing the exact URL of the site involved, and the username to which you transferred it, there is no way for us to help with this. That said, site transfers have several steps, all of them warning that a site transfer cannot be undone, and that the account you transfer it to will become the new owner, so there might not be much that we can do in this situation.

Is it okay for me to share the user name and blog URL here? I just didn’t want to share too much information.
I am aware of all the warnings before the transfer. I mistook the user name I use to log-in to the website I manage for the wordpress username. I quickly figured out that I cannot log-in to wordpress with my log-in for the password protected website.
I have the user name and blog URL and can share.

I’ve sent an email to the address associated with your account. Can you please provide all relevant information there, and then we can take a look.
