I tried a new theme, but when I returned to orig., all widgets are gone. Help!

how do I restore my original theme?
I recently accidentally activated a new theme. I tried to switch back to my original 20/10 theme, but I have lost all my widgets. There’s nothing in my sidebar but my archive. I had spent AGES putting up widgets, Freshly Pressed icons and other awards, blogroll, etc.
Can you help. Is there a draft saved of my original blog with the old widgets? Please help! It took me so long to get my blog the way I wanted!
Hope you can help. So sorry, won’t do that again!
Is there a way of previewing other themes without affecting the original blog.
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’m sorry, but once you apply a new theme it will revert to the default. Even if you apply a theme that you used to have, it will not go back to the last version of what you had.
You can preview themes by going to Appearance > Themes in your Dashboard. When you hover over a theme there will be a link to Preview as seen here:
Cheers!

So, are you saying that there’s NO way to recover my previous settings: blogroll, awards, images, etc… and reinstate my blog as it was?
I have tried other themes before, with no problem, but I’m not sure how this happened. It was a theme that was just being introduced; I thought I was merely trying it, and then when I went back, everything on my blog was gone. Can you clarify: do I need to start all over?
Thanks.

Yes you will have to re-add your widgets. Widgets are theme-based so once you apply a new theme you will have to add them again.
However, posts, pages and Media Library will remain as is.

I seem to have lost my allotted space upgrade when I switched themes and then switched back. I’m showing that I currently only have 3 GB of space but shouldn’t the upgrade include more?

Hi there,
After looking into your account, I found that you have a WordPress.com Premium upgrade that includes the 10GB space upgrade on the site: thehuntingtonschronicles.wordpress.com.
Do you want this moved to: talesfromthemotherland.me?
Please let me know and I can move it for you.
Thank you

Thanks for this quick response! Oh my… that would have been awesome, but I just bought more space for Tales From the Motherland, because I thought the support response would take too long. I sent another message 10 days ago, and have not gotten a response… I’ve been unable to post any new photos to my blog, so I haven’t been writing much. It’s been really frustrating, with readers writing to ask what’s up, etc. I just figured out this morning, that TFTM was out of space. I thought I’d bought the upgrade for TFTM not Huntington’s Chronicles, so never guessed that space was an issue. So, I would have loved for you to do that, but didn’t know that was even possible, and thought that support would take longer… Thanks.

Hi there,
I have transferred the Premium upgrade to talesfromthemotherland.me and bundled the domain. I removed the Custom design upgrade that you purchased because the Premium upgrade already comes with it, and I have provided you a full refund for that.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi there,
You will not lose any upgrades (VideoPress, Custom Design, 10 GB of space, custom domain, No Ads) if you switch themes, but please note that any customizations/widgets will be gone.
Cheers!

I hadn’t seen your response about bundling and refunds… our messages must have crossed, but thank you very much! I can write… but all this tech stuff, turns me upside down every time! I find myself doing all kinds of annoying things! I’m learning… slowly. ; ) Thanks again for your help, Grace! I really appreciate it.
