I tried to change my domain name and lost everything. HELP!
-
I had purchased smart theme and optimizepress for my word press site. My original URL was http://www.lizaroth.com, but then I wanted to change it to http://www.gilflady.com. When I did that through Go Daddy. I lost my entire site, smart theme, and optimizepress. When I log into wordpress everything is gone. How do I get it back and still attach the new URL http://www.gilflady.com?

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

MacManx,
You are wrong!!! That is not a wordpress.org site. I bought the business site on wordpress.com, so I could upload the optimize press theme to it. I paid for a business site and now my site is gone!!!! the url was http://www.lizaroth.com. I’m very upset, and I fell like I am being scammed!!! You need to get your facts straight and give me back the site I paid for or give me back my money!!!!

lizaroth.com. is still online. The nameservers point to BlueHost though. gilflady.com is a new domain registered with GoDaddy. This gilflady account was only created here at WordPress.com two hours ago. I’ll tag this thread to ask staff to check your lizaroth account again.

themagicrobot is correct,
lizaroth.comis pointing to Bluehost, so the site is hosted with Bluehost and using the WordPress.org software, not us.We have no history of paid plans, transactions, or billing activity of any kind under the lizaroth account.
The gilflady account does have a WordPress.com Business plan, but that’s for https://gilflady.wpcomstaging.com/ and not

@gilflady As you do have a Business plan here at WordPress.com perhaps you should make use of the Livechat feature to work with staff and explain what you want to achieve with your new site? Did you want to transfer a domain/site content from your BlueHost site to here?
