I tried to Change my Domain, now my site is down.

    I Tried to type my new domain ‘http://http://leagreub.de’ to replace this one: ‘http://box5563.temp.domains/~leagreub/’. I thought I have to change my domain through the ‘My Site’ Menu of WordPress, so i wrote my new domain in Settings > General down. Suddenly an error appeared, and my browser downloaded a file named:
    ‘wp-login.php’ there is just the word ‘forbidden’ written down. Now I can’t open my site anymore and I can’t manage my side through the backend anymore, everything is gone, including my Plugins. The last thing my jetpack timeline says is ‘Website address (home url) set to ‘http://leagreub.de’. Can someone help me?

    Hi,

    This seems to be a common error among self-hosting site owners (here, on WordPress.com, this wouldn’t be possible). I have found two articles that may help you solve this, have a look here, or here.

    If that doesn’t help, try asking on https://wordpress.org/support/forums/. Folks experienced with self-hosted sites like yours may be able to advise better.
