i tried to move our new blog to our old address (chicagostagestandard.com)

  we were trying to move the wordpress site we just designed to our current website name. instead the currrent website asborbed our new blog…

  Hi there,

  I just went and checked out your site, and I think I understand what you mean here.

  You’ve had chicagostagestandard.wordpress.com and you bought Domain Mapping for chicagostagestandard.com and you want that to be what comes up when you go to your site, correct?

  OK, assuming that is right, my first question is do you own the domain chicagostagestandard.com? I noticed that there is another website running at that domain. If that’s your old site, then not a problem! All that you need to do is log in where chicagostagestandard.com is registered and change the nameservers to:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  I did a quick lookup and it looks like the domain is registered with GoDaddy.com, so you’ll need to log in there to make that change. Here’s a help article from their site on how to do that:

  http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/664/setting-nameservers-for-your-domain-names

  Now if you don’t own that domain, that’s OK too! I can refund you for this domain mapping and we can find another domain which suits your site and organization!
