I tried to use my WordPress profile ID (MaxineKL) to sign a comment on someone else’s blog, and received the reply “You don’t own this identity” from WordPress.com!!! Which also erased my comment. What can I do? Thanks (email visible only to moderators and staff)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

CORRECTION: The blog I need help with is not refusingtobeenemiesthebook.wordpress.com. That’s my blog. What I need help with is POSTING to someone else’s blog using my identity as MaxineKL! Thanks

    Dear Timethief,
Crazymaking is certainly the word for it. But I finally (after about 5 tries) managed to get a message saying my comment would be visible after approval, which I hope means that they actually received it this time. What I did was after the initial rejection of my user name, I typed in my URL. That gave me a “illegal characters” message because the “space-holding” characters in the example below the space for typing were retained. After the site crashed my Firefox, though, I just typed in the word part of my URL (i.e., not the http:// and not .wordpress.com) and it seems to have worked. Fingers crossed. Thanks, MaxineKL
