I updated my credit card but it won't let me update my URL purchase

    Anyone have any clue how to fix this? I updated the credit card info to renew my URL but it won’t let me check out – very frustrating.

    Are you seeing an error message? What happens when you try to check out?

  • That domain is in redemption after expiring. In order to get it back we will have to work with our domain partner. To retrieve the domain from redemption they are going to charge an $80 fee. This is in addition to the annual $18 registration fee.

    Let me know if you agree to that fee and we can move forward.

    How it works is that I’ll send them a note about the domain. At the same time I will send you an email with a payment link. We typically hear back in 2-3 days. If the domain can be restored we will add it back to your account.

    The alternative is to wait out the redemption period. This is risky. The domain could be sold at auction or someone else could register it before you once it is freed up. If that happens you’ve essentially lost ownership of it and there’s nothing we can do to help in that scenario. This is why I suggest going the redemption route.
