I updated my theme and now I can’t access my site and neither can anyone else. I published a post just before updating the theme and it seemed to publish fine but my access stopped after updating the theme and now no one can access the site including me.

You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
