I used a deactivated yahoo email address as my email address

I created the exact blog that I wanted. It is up and running. I tried to create my first post and it told me that I needed to click the confirmation button first. Yahoo says my email is deactivated and will not let me check it. WordPress will not let me change the email address without clicking an email in the yahoo account that is deactivated.
I don’t want to start over!! Can an admin change my email address in the system to an active email account?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Provide both the incorrect email address and the correct one here please and I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

It can be fixed for sure but it will take time for Staff to work their way forward to this thread.

Well, it is good that will take them a minute to see it – Yahoo deactivated that new email right after I made it!!
Please make the “correct email address” (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Shawna, no – I helped her try that SEVERAL times and it kept telling me to check the deactivated email.
Can you please manually confirm her blog and change her email address to (email visible only to moderators and staff) ?? I tried to help her and WordPress keeps telling us to go the an email account that Yahoo! told me they will not allow her to access.

When I ask it to send to another email address, it takes me to the “me/account” page and says “email change pending, go to your email to confirm.”
Yahoo! will not allow me access to that account, because it is deactivated. Can you change the email for me to (email visible only to moderators and staff) ?

There are two issues going on here. First, you have blocked emails from WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/me/notifications
At the bottom of that page, please uncheck the option for “Block Emails” at least until we get your account verified.
Next, navigate to this page:
https://wordpress.com/me/account
Since the emails were blocked, I have cancelled the email change. Please re-enter the correct email address in that field. When you click Save Account Settings at the bottom of that email, we’ll send a notification to the new email address (the correct one) asking for you to confirm that address. Please let me know if you do not receive it after following these steps!
