I used the wrong email address to create my account and now you won't let me change it.

  I entered the wrong email into my account when I signed up and I’m now trying to change it. however whenever I try to do so on the account settings I get a message saying there is a problem. The email address which I registered is (email visible only to moderators and staff), but my email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff). I can’t publish anything until I verify my account but I can’t receive the email.

  If you attempt to change your email address and find that it never updates after saving the changes, the email address you are attempting to use is probably associated with another WordPress.com account. Because each address can only be associated with one WordPress.com account, it will not allow you to use the same email again.

  You can use a different email address that is not already in use, or you can log in to the account currently using your desired email address and change it to something else. Once changed, you can then reuse the email on a different account.
