I used to receive an email when someone answered my help query on the Forum

  I used to receive an email when someone answered my help query on a Forum. Does this not happen now? I put a query up 2 or 3 dys ago and have just scrolled through everything but can’t find any links to it, or any answers. It was to do with the large blank space between one photo on my last blog A Walk in the Desfiladera….. and the text. I cannot delete any lines as it will not permit me.

  Did you click the Subscribe to Topic link in the sidebar of the threads you created?

  I thought I had clicked on theSubscribe to Topic link but maybe I forgot this time. However, I’ve just checked the link you gave me (thanks for that) and I can’t see my topic even listed. Strange that. I wonder if I didn’t even click on Submit the Query! Stranger things have happened when I’m in a hurry. I shall redo the query and hope for a reply. Many thanks again.

  Hi there @maristravels When you are a free-plan user, if you post your question through the contact form here https://wordpress.com/help/contact you are automatically subscribed to your own forum post, which will be answered by our community members and Staff if needed.

  However, users with any upgrade plan post a support ticket to Staff through that same contact form when logged in with the username account that purchased the upgrade. You should receive confirmation by email of your submission.

  If you post a thread directly in the community forums at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 you have the option of checking the box to ” Notify me of followup posts via e-mail” when you submit your question. To the best of my knowledge that box is pre-filled.

  Concerning your question about the spacing in https://travels-with-my-camera.blog/2017/05/16/walking-in-the-desfiladero-de-los-gaitanes-natural-park-spain/ looking at the source of your post there are a number of

  <p>& nbsp ;</p>

  tags following the caves-2-xx.jpg image. If you switch to the Post HTML editor, you should be able to delete those.

  Let us know how that goes.
