I wanna go back to the same password. I registered for a backup forums on Monday and I wanted to go use a gravatar image. I didn’t understand that all I had to do was enter an email address, or I was using the wrong account when I went to log in and that led to the confusion that I maybe lost my password when my password has been saved on the web the whole time.

Hi @michaelxd001, I’m not sure I understand fully — did you change the password on this account, and now you want to change it back? I don’t think that’s possible for a while. Also, if you’re used to using the same password for different services, I’d strongly recommend against that. Here’s why, and a few tips on managing passwords:

How did you see me do password resets? This was for a piforum which is temporarily and I didn’t actually want to create this account to write. Please help me change it back! I won’t tell anyone. What part did you not understand at all?

Help me alter it back to before Monday at this time.

We are not “a backup forums” so any password you use here would not related to there.
What is this “backup forums” you’re referring to specifically?

I didn’t say you were a backup forums. I was talking about a backup forums to the original Virtual Headache’s Pokemon International forums. Something happened back at the beginning of last month and she was trying to fix her forums. When it came to selecting or choosing an avatar, I had the option of entering in a gravatar image which is where this took me, so don’t misjudge what I said. I didn’t realize that I just type in the email address and I wanted to see which one of my gravatar images were available. I only had very few of them and I didn’t remember the picture instead of just using an image on my computer because without knowing my email address that I have used for this site, I wouldn’t be able to have a gravatar image at all.

Gravatar is a global avatar service, a lot of sites and apps use it, the idea being you enter your email address in that site or app, and a Gravatar you’ve already set for that email address appears (no need to constantly upload an avatar on every new site).
Gravatar uses WordPress.com’s account system, so if you want to set/manage Gravatars, you need a WordPress.com account.
Neither Gravatar nor WordPress.com control the passwords or login systems of these Gravatar-connected sites, including “Virtual Headache’s Pokemon International forums.”
If you want to delete your WordPress.com account, you can at https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/ but please keep in mind that will also remove any attached Gravatars.
If you want to change the password on your WordPress.com account, and thus your Gravatar profile, you can at https://wordpress.com/me/security
If you want to change the password on “Virtual Headache’s Pokemon International forums,” you’ll need to do that through them, not us.

Um, not what I said! I wasn’t attempting to log onto the forums because I was already logged in. I thought gravatar was like a Microsoft account, like it’d already know me. Gravatar isn’t used on forumotion because I don’t see it being used. Instead, it has the option to create an avatar instead of using one from your machine, but you can also save it. Gravatar is the same way. They were once images that were previously saved on the machine.
If you want to change the password on “Virtual Headache’s Pokemon International forums,” you’ll need to do that through them, not us.
I never said anything about asking for help with PI forums. You misunderstood. Nowhere in my posts does it say that. I just wanted to go back to my original password here. That’s what I DID say.

But it keeps saying “You’ve recently used this password. Try something new.” How long do I have to wait before I can go back to the way I was because I really don’t use wordpress?!

For security reasons, previous passwords are prevented from re-use for a number of days, and we cannot publicly release exactly how long that is, but I recommend trying again next month.
