I want a large calendar as my homepage

Please help me. I want my main page of my blog to be a big monthly calendar and I want to be able to type in the squares (days) of the calendar. If I type something on one of the days I’ll link those words to another page where I’ll post more information. I guess it would be like having a calendar as the theme. It would be even better if it scrolled down as a new month calendar appears ablove it. All I really know how to do is copy and paste codes, so if you answer this request please dummy it down for me. Thanks. (If I’m asking for something that can’t be done perhaps there is a way to provide a link to a full page calendar I can type on that scrolls down and makes room for the new month – like an archive all on one endless page)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We always need a link to the blog in question in order to answer technical stuff. Please paste it in here, starting with http.

Is this the blog you are talking about http://dogsintheattic.wordpress.com/ ? If so, always provide a link to the blog you are talking abou when asking a question in the forums.

The only way I know of to do that is to create a static front page and use an HTML table, and it will be messy to edit.

You could use a blog editor client such as Windows Live Writer (if it does pages – I can’t remember). WLW makes tables much easier, but it is still going to be messy.

I hear tell that you can insert a Google Calendar into a page (I personally haven’t tried it though – can we insert an iframe on a blog page or post?). The instructions can be found here: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=41207

Also, why do you need to see the blog in order to answer? I personally don’t want a calendar on any of my blogs but I’m researching the information for a presentation I’m giving.

    aleanora,
Also, why do you need to see the blog in order to answer? Because this is the support forum for blogs on wordpress.com. The answers here ONLY apply to blogs on wordpress.com. If you’re asking for a blog NOT on wordpress.com we cannot help you. That is why we always ask to see the blog. Besides, even IF your blog is on wordpress.com, some answers also depend on the blog theme, another reason why we need to see the blog in order to answer.

As to your question, iframe will not work on wordpress.com.

    Code
