How do I add a reply mail plug-in?

  I would like to include a ReplyMail plug in so that people automatically know when I reply to their comments.

  This would eliminate a lot of extra work for me and help me to build a community a little better instead of emailing every single person that comments, seeing as I don’t know if they check back or not.

  I’m afraid it’s not possible to add plug-ins here at WordPress.com; they are a feature of self-hosted, WordPress.org blogs (this page outlines the distinction between the two).

  Nevertheless, your readers can choose to subscribe to comments on any particular post when they leave a comment. This should provide the functionality you’re looking for.

  I understand the difference and know that plug-ins are not usually a part of WordPress.com, but there was the option to submit a “special request” to be considered, so I thought I would give it a shot.

  I would love to switch to WordPress.org or self-hosted, but I’m afraid I don’t have the know-how to make a seamless transition.

  Noted! I’ll add this to our regularly reviewed list of suggestions, but as I said, we have a very very similar function with the comment subscription settings, so it’s unlikely to be added.
