i want a set up mode,so i can work without showing everyone half done web site.

i want to keep site off while setting up.Also this is a big one my plug ins go crazy like to keep plugs off untill iam ready for them.you got a set up mode?

There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

To change blog visibility to Private go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/re: front page error messages such as:
