I want a website not a blog..have I done something wrong?

  HI. I want a basic website as I am a freelancer. I signed up to word press expecting to create a website but I have a blog and don’t know how to get a website instead – HELP.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  A blog is a type of website that shows newest content at the top of the page.

  Hi there. You’ve done nothing wrong. Blogs are websites, though a specific type of website that focuses on dynamic content, i.e. posts. You want a static website, i.e. one that focuses on pages. Both types of site is possible on WordPress.com. See here for instructions how to set up a static site here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/five-step-website-setup/

  Consider creating posts as well anyway, as that will give a significant boost to your SEO, but that’s up to you. The link I gave you includes a link to instructions for creating a separate blog page.
