  WordPress.com does not delete accounts, you can just leave your account inactive. You can unsubscribe from any email from WordPress.com on your Subscription Settings and check the box that says Block Emails and click save. See the subscriptions support page for more information about this.

  You can also empty and delete your site. Once this is done, you can remove all personal information from your Account Settings and change your password to a random string. This will prevent you from gaining access to the account in the future.
