I want my front page to display a summary but it's full text

  In my reading settings there is an option to display the full text or just a summary when my blog displays. I’ve checked summary over and over, changed, changed back… Still displaying full text! Help!

  That setting only affects your blog’s feed.

  You’ll need to manually split your posts with the More tag: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
