I want my navigation label to be different to the page title under that tab

I have created a number of pages on my blog, one of them is simply ‘Home’ and for this I have created a static page. However, when on this home page, the word ‘Home’ is emblazoned across the top. I want there to be a ‘Home’ tab on my menu, but I don’t want a title saying ‘Home’ on that page when clicked on. How can I get rid of the title but keep the navigation label? Thank you!

It looks like you’ve figured this out on your own, but I’m going to share the process below in case others have the same question.

The first step is to simply remove the title from your page. After that, you can change the page titles in your menu by following the instructions found here:

If you have any other questions, or if you are still having trouble with this, let me know!

    Hi,
Yes, thanks, I managed to stumble across the solution after trying different things out. Thanks for your answer though! I do have another question though.. Is there a way to shuffle the page content up closer to the blog title? Now that I have removed my page titles there seems to be a little bit of a void between the blog title and page content. I’m assuming this can’t be done as it is just the lay out of the theme I have chosen? Thanks again.

It is possible to remove some of the white space with CSS, but only if you upgrade to WordPress.com Premium.

If you are interested in that, let me know and I’ll be happy to help you with the code you need to make the adjustment.

Ah I thought that might be the case. I might upgrade at some point so will keep that in mind. Thanks for your help.
