You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.
This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.
If you don’t understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

I have a wordpress site, I just have my own domain name. Check it out and you’ll see. My reason for posting is that I want an answer to my question. Thanks
( don’t you think my domain name looks better than this ^ ? )

If you have your own hosting, then your options are different from ours here at the wordpress.COM free hosting service. Here we cannot do what you are asking about.
Read the link Sam gave you that explains the difference and then head over to the wordpress.ORG forums to ask your question.

Sorry, I just reread your reply, ignore my previous reply.
At wordpress.COM, what you are asking cannot be done. You would need PHP programming experience, and access to the underlying theme and wordpress PHP script files.
One alternative is to create your own Pages widget and code your page links into it by hand. You can then add descriptions if you wish below the links.
