I want only summary of my post to be displayed – Please help

  Hi All,

  I want only summary of my post to be displayed – say 40-50 words and then followed by a link like “Continue Reading” which will open that post in a new window
  Please help me how to have this done

  You can insert “the more tag” into each of your posts to achieve this. There is no universal setting button your can click to do this throughout the blog. Each post must have the more tag inserted into it.

  Note that there are themes that are designed to display only excerpts on the front page (Fresh and Clean, Grisaille, Inuit Types, etc.) See here http://wordpress.com/themes/

  The more tag works the same way on every theme here. I’m glad to hear you were able to insert it. Happy blogging!
