My email was used to establish an account without my permission by my daughter. The blog that was attached to the account has been deleted. I don’t have access to any information on how to detach my email address from this account. I would like to make comments on other people’s blog as myself who technically does not have a word press account. How do I untie myself from this no longer existing blog: paintingperfection?

Hi there,
Actually, you can do it yourself quite easily. Hhere’s what you can do on your own to disassociate the old site address from the account:
* login to WordPress.com as paintingperfection
* go to your personal profile: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-user-settings
* remove the old site address from the Website field in the Account Details at the bottomThat should take care of it for you. :)

PS: the alternative is for us to entirely disassociate the email address with the account, which will effectively delete the account altogether.

I have tried to go through the account and delete the account to no avail. How can I go about completely having this account completely gone. Can someone do this for me?
The irony of being “paintingperfection” is laughable–I can’t even draw stick people.

http://paintingperfection.wordpress.com/ – your account has been deleted. If you stop logging in, it will eventually disappear.

Did you read this above? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/i-want-out?replies=7#post-1084656Username accounts are not deleted but there are steps you can take that amount to removing all personal information and result in leaving only a throwaway email address behind.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/1. You can go to My Account->Edit Profile and remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This only leaves the username behind.
2. To unsubscribe from email sent to you from WordPress.com, go here and click on “Block all subscription emails from WordPress.com”:

Ok, this is a bunch of bullshit. Let me explain clearly the problem. I am not blog savvy and I did not make this account, my clueless teenage daughter did. I HAVE deleted the blog. I HAVE gone through the steps above to the best of knowledge (which is admittingly little) to change the account but I clearly haven’t done the right thing in order to not be attached to this account when commenting in the comment section of someone else’s blog. I am unable to participate in a conversation on that blog because I can’t comment on the topic as my teenage painting daughter and it will not allow me comment any other way. This has occurred on several blogs. It is not clear to me at which point I am going astray with divorcing myself from this account. I am frustrated to tears, which is ridiculous.

If you have already removed your email address from the paintingperfection account as I described above then you are free to register another username account you can use for commenting. I flagged this thread so Staff will assist you.

We understand the issue. The steps we had given you above were to be abe to keep the account, but not have it associated with the old site URL. If you do not want to keep the account altogether (since it does not reflect you), we’ll disassociate the email as you asked. Someone will get back to you when it’s done here.
@timethief, @belladonichaze: Thanks for helping (genuinely), but this one’s on us. At the core of the issue is the fact that when this lady tries to comment with just her email, which is associated with that account thanks to her daughter, we auto–recognize it and automatically match it with the account on the comment. I can’t take care of it myself at the moment, but someone will today (I’ve asked).
All should be sorted out shortly.
