I WANT static content and posts on same page, but I can't seem to set it up.

  Still trying to keep static content/welcome and blog posts on same page. Lots of information on how NOT do to that, but not on how to keep them together. Help please: I want a simple blog, with a welcome followed by blog posts on the same page. I was unsuccessful doing this with the Together theme, now using 2011, but it’s not working there either.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Many people will “sticky” a welcome post to the top of their posts on the front page to achieve this. Do you think that would work for you?

  Another way if your welcome / static info isn’t super-long is to put it in a text box at the very top of your sidebar–you can include images in a text box too, I believe…

  That is also good advice. Not a ton of room in that spot on most themes. But it can work.
