  WordPress.com plans are automatically billed yearly. Once you sign up for a WordPress.com paid plan it will be automatically renewed at the end of each subscription period. You will be notified in advance about upcoming renewal and you can opt out of paying further. Here is some more info about WordPress.com plans:
