I want the recent post widget to display only the month

  Hi there

  I notice most of my fellow members show Recent Posts for each month. Then click on the month to display the posts within, How can I do this – thanks!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You may be referring to an Archives widget, which gives links to the monthly posts archives pages in reverse chronological order.
  You may add dates to a recent posts widget by placing a check in the box marked “Display post date?”

  Hi! Me again

  (GRRRRR) OK! Seems the “Display post date” is available only in my Recent Post Widget – not the Archive Widget. I’m using the Nucleare Theme which seemed awesome in the beginning now I have my doubts and might switch to still another theme.

  That’s right. Sorry if I confused you. I suggested the archives widget, then referred to the recent posts widget, saying,

  You may add dates to a recent posts widget by placing a check in the box marked “Display post date?”

  You’re free to change themes as often as you like. Let us know if you have specific questions regarding any theme.

  Thanks again:) I see my fellow bloggers have the archive widget with all the previous months; they also have recent posts (titles) above the archive.

  Hi again –

  Just needed to share that after all the mayhem, I decided to change themes – choose Gateway – it looks awesome and I was able to place the widget for recent post. I think I finally got the hang of it but life is an ongoing experience.
