  This is a good question. Thanks for getting us started houstonweaver.

  There’s 2 ways for folks to follow your blog. They can follow it directly through their WordPress.com user account via Reader or they can follow along via their email. You’ll need the follow blog widget installed in order for the second option to work.

  Whenever you publish a new post, folks are going to see it either come through as an email notification or in their Reader depending on how they are following your site.

  In Reader, folks can also discover your posts through tag searches. So be sure to include tags when writing up your posts.
