    how can I add a widget that has an embed code? I have the embed code

    We cannot use script on WordPress.com sites:

    There is (or was) a flash version of the revolver maps which gigya shortcode will allow to work here. It’s complicated but here is a start:

    I understand the case wasn’t closed, I do apologize if I sounded upset, I wasn’t/am not, I am just slow, and don’t know where to put the html code. Timethief stated to put it in the side bar, but that is where I get lost, because all I see in the sidebars are IMAGE URL…thats what I am trying to find out, do I put that entire code in the Image URL field? If not, where do I put the code…that’s what I am trying to find out now…timethief and panos did good for the coding that should work, I just can’t find where to put the code to try it…I do apologize, I am a disabled veteran that suffered TBI, so I am slow sometimes…

    IF the code was allowed, you would go to Appearance > Widgets, drag a Text widget to Sidebar, paste the code into it, save.
    But, as Tess explained, we’re not allowed to use the type of code you pasted above, for security reasons: if you try to paste it in your blog, it will be stripped out upon save.

    You can link to the page where you got the code from, so we can see if there’s an alternative that would work on wordpress.com.

    I wanted to embed an AUDIO DROPBOX into my blog but can’t find where to paste the embed code – or is it simply that I am not allowed to do it ?
