I want to add plugins in my blog. What do I do?
-
Do I have to install wordpress using FTP for that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh, for all this time when I saw links stating download the latest version of wordpress using filezilla and all that, I went on following all the guidelines. I didn’t even know that it wasn’t free because it didn’t state anywhere.
Thank you for telling me.

Well, the software is free. But you pay to host your blog somewhere.
What did you want the plugins to do? Maybe there is a work-around.

I wanted to add this plugin called simple image link. It’s used for ads but after doing some research I found that ads are totally not allowed on WP if you don’t have a VIP account. So well that nullifies the point of plugins alogether!

Ads and plugins are not allowed on WordPress.com, but you can host ads and use plugins with a self-hosted blog, using software from WordPress.org.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
