I want to build a site in WordPress first before uploading it to server

  So my website already exists, and I don’t want to replace its content until I’ve finished building it anew in WordPress. What options do I pick?

  Hi @emgolus,

  If you’re building the site on wordpress.com, you can set your site to private in the Privacy Settings menu.

  If you’re building a wordpress.org site, there’s a good post on the wordpress.org support site on adjusting visibility settings at the post, page and site level.
