I want to buy something but it's adding "credits" to the price?

    Hi,

I have a couple of things like domain mapping, custom design that I pay for on my blog. Everything is paid for and nothing is expiring soon.

I want to buy the No Ads feature and in addition to the price of £20, it is adding a further £19.37 of “WordPress.com credits” telling my that my current baalnce is being added to my purchase.

I’m confused, what balance? I buy and pay for everything in advance.

Can anyone help please. Thank you! :)

Still there. I cannot make any purchase without this amount being added. I cannot see where I ever owed anything so not sure what it represents.

OK I give up. I REALLY do appreciate you guys are busy. I do. I wish there was a better system of support, I’d pay for it!

I have just gone ahead and purchased, No Ads for my site (UnconditionYou.com). The price is: £20 (British Pounds).

It is adding the “Credits” of £19.37 and I still don’t know what this represents.

So I am paying in total £39.37

I am subscribed. I appreciate your reply. Thank you.

To update, I made the above purchase and it was successful.

Now I want to buy domain mapping for another site that I am an admin of (http://truewealthcommons.wordpress.com/) and it is STILL adding £19.37 to my balance.

I guess I will refund my No Ads purchase and suck up the cost on domain mapping as this is more important for my right now.

But I really need to know why £19.37 is added to each purchase. I want to spend money with WordPress! :) I just don’t like things added to the basket with no explanation.

As I said, I do appreciate your reply timethief, thank you.

Do nothing and wait for Staff help.

    Thanks again.

I requested the refund, received an email saying £20 had been refunded.

The receipt for the purchase says (copy and pasted):

    Order Details
    No Ads
    unconditionyou.wordpress.com £20.00
    +
    Wpcom Credits
    unconditionyou.wordpress.com £19.37
    Total £39.37

The refund email says (copy and pasted):
The following upgrade has been cancelled and £20.00 refunded:

So, now I am £19.37 out of pocket.

If I put anything else in my basket, it adds a further £19.37 of “Credits”

I will now do nothing as you suggest. Thanks again for the reply.

    Hi Marco,

I’m very sorry about this! I just refunded the additional £19.37 you paid and corrected your account so those credits aren’t added to your purchases.

Our team is investigating this to sort out why this happens and correct that to avoid this happening in the future, but you should be all set. If there’s anything more I can do to help, please let me know!
