I want to cancel my account before the free trial is over on May 7th. I have decided I don’t want a website.

    Hi Ted.

I’ve gone ahead to remove the free trial from your account and you’ll not be charged for its renewal.

The reason you were shown the option to purchase your domain when cancelling the trial is due to the fact that domains can be tricky to get back once cancelled. Cancelled domains get sent back to our registrar, who may not release them for several weeks.

Do you wish to keep using thewakinguniverse.com? If not, I’ll go ahead to cancel it for you now also.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I was at a loss to figure things out on my own. I would like to keep the domain name if possible for later use if I decide to build a website in the future, but I don’t know how to access it. I believe the purchase price is about $40. Is this correct? Can you tell me how I would access it now that I don’t have an account with WordPress? Thanks for your help.

You’re welcome, I’m just sorry for the delay in getting back to you on our end.

I deleted your free trial, but your WordPress.com account is still active and your site’s still available under our free plan. You’ll be able to view your domain via the following page:

    https://wordpress.com/domains

The cost of domain registration is $26. I’ll go ahead to send you a payment request via email now, if you’d like to pay for it.

    Thanks!

Actually, on second thought, I won’t need it. It’s OK. Thank you for all your help.

No worries! I’ve gone ahead to cancel thewakinguniverse.com, and your site’s now available under our free plan at universesensor.wordpress.com.

Let me know if you have any extra questions. :)
