  • Hi,

Generally when a refund has been processed, there’s nothing we can do to cancel it. Normally it is easier to just repurchase whatever upgrade you are looking to have.

Can you tell me more specifically what you are trying to do? I see that you purchased a WordPress.com plan and were transferring in a domain from somewhere else? Is that correct?

I wanted to move my website from other host here. I paid and after that I saw that the name of my website contains “wordpress” and I thought I made a mistake. I still want to move my domain and content of the website here. So I received but 30$ for the annual subscription but the 18$ for domain transfer no. What does it mean?

  • I understand!

So, the easiest thing to do is going to be for me to refund the rest of your original payment. Then for you to start over and repurchase the plan and initiate the domain transfer.

    Will that work for you?

    Yes, thank you!

  • Howdy,

I’ve processed that refund, so you should be all set. Please keep in mind that while many refunds show up withing 24-48 hours, it is not unusual for them to take up to 7-10 days. And in rare cases, typically with non USA banks, even longer.

Whenever you are ready, just purchase a new plan for your site and start the domain transfer process again.

Also, just to clarify in case you were still confused, you absolutely do NOT have to use a _____.wordpress.com domain. All WordPress.com paid plans come with the ability to use a custom domain on WordPress.com sites.
