I want to change an element… but don’t know what it’s called … There’s a lock next to it on my profile
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
The lock icons means “private site” so if what you are really asking is: How do I make a private blog public? please read on.
To change blog visibility to Public go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 1. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings
If that is not what you are asking about then will you provide a screenshot for Staff please? I’ll tag this thread for their attention. You can use http://snag.gy/ to share screenshots and link to them here.

You can’t attach anything here.
You can use http://snag.gy/ to share screenshots and link to them here.
Or if you use the WordPress.com guide screenshots you can and upload a screenshot to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

Hi @nancydlsr,
Could you upload the screenshot to your Media Library here just so I can make sure we’re on the same page?

Let me know once you’ve done that! If you are indeed trying to change the privacy of your blog, you can do that here:

More on blog privacy options can be found here:

Hi Nancy,
If you’re including the screenshot in an email reply, it isn’t coming through in your support forum thread here. Can you please go to this link first:
https://nancydlsr.wordpress.com/wp-admin/media-new.php
You can upload the screenshot there and we can take a look at it. Alternately, you can use an online service like Snaggy to share that screenshot image with us.
