I want to change my blog title

  Hi everyone, I hope this message reaches you in good health.

  So as the headline goes, I want to change my blog title. In addition to this I want people who type in or search on my old blog-address to be redirected to my new address (each and everytime).

  The question is: How do I go about doing this (changing my blog title and making sure people that type in/search on the old address get redirected to my new address)?

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Your blog’s address “yourusernamehere.wordpress.com” won’t change if you change the title of your blog. That you can change in your Dashboard under Settings>General>Blog Title.

  Hi “justjennifer”.

  Thank you for highlighting that. Actually what I meant, was exactly what you wrote: It’s the address I want to change. Sorry for mixing up the two.

  So how do I go about changing the address and not the title and at the smae time making sure people who type in/search on my old blog address, get redirected?

  Thanks for the links. I read the material you referred to, but it didn’t quite seem to answer any of my questions (although it taught me some new things so thank you for that).

  Here’s the thing:

  I want to change my blog address, not my domain (I’m still sticking with wordpress)and don’t want to remove the “wordpress” out of the url (as the first link offered some answers to). In other words, I want to go from “something.wordpress.com” to “somethingelse.wordpress.com”. At the same I want people who type in “something.wordpress.com” to be redirected to “somethingelse.wordpress.com”

  So how do I go about those to things? *scratches head*

  You will need to register another blog with somethingelse.wordpress.com and there is NO automatic redirect available. But what you can do is set a static page at the front of your first blog with “we’ve moved to somethingelse.wordpress.com” and a link. You can import all the contents from the first blog to the second.
