I want to change my domain name

  I want to change my domain name from jurisdixon.wordpress.com to simply jurisdixon.com. When I try and attempt this it wordpress says it is taken… I type in jurisdixon.com and there is no website with this domain!

  I really want this domain and do not understand why I can’t use it.
  Please help!

  You cannot purchase a domain that someone else owns.

  That’s understandable. But if you search that domain, nothing comes up?

  Will there domain expire at some point?

  For as long as the person who purchased that domain continues to renew it annually and does not let it expire then it will not be available for you or anyone else to purchase.
