i want to change my domain name to something else, and purchase premium.

  I want to change my domain name ( i already purchased) and upgrade to premium. WordPress is offering a $20 discount to upgrade since i already purchased the domain. What will happen if i upgrade then want to change domains???

  Hi there – We can only refund domain registrations within the first 48 hours after purchase. However, you are welcome to register a new domain in addition to the existing one – you can set the new one to primary and then the old one will redirect to the new.

  If you want to do that, go ahead and upgrade to premium and also register the new domain, and then let me know if you’d like me to link the new domain to the premium upgrade rather than the old one, so they renew together next year.

  Hi,

  Thank you for your response. I think I’d like to register for premium, but I do not want to ever renew the old domain. So, I would like to link the new domain with the upgrade rather than the old.
  When I do upgrade, how to I disable the old domain and be sure I’m upgrading with my new domain?

  Hi there – I can go ahead and cancel convegence.com for you now if you like, but it’s too late for us to refund it, so I recommend you go ahead and keep it for the rest of the year, so it redirects to the new domain.

  Go ahead and upgrade, and also register your new domain separately (it will be $18 on its own, or $26 if you want private registration). Then, let me know, and I’ll make sure your Premium upgrade is tied to the new domain rather than the old.
