i want to change my free theme to a downloaded one

    Hello,
    when I first created my wordpress page I used the Edin theme, but as I use it I realize it is not good for me. So I want to change it to another I downloaded from a different page. But when I click on ‘Personalize’ ‘Themes’ I can only customize it or change it to one of the Themes you provide me, but I don’t get the option of ‘Add New’

    I considered ‘Start Over’ but then I think I only get my posts erased and I’m still stuck with the same theme.

    I also can’t delete the account so I reeeeally get to start over because I’d lose the domain address. Please help me!

    Hey there,

    It sounds like you are trying to install a third party theme for a self-hosted WordPress.ORG blog. Third party themes can not be uploaded to a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. They are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    The good news is that WordPress.COM has hundreds of available themes that you can activate (many for free), and they are found under Appearance > Themes
