I want to change my name

    I started this site with my birth name but have been advised it is better to use my current name. I changed the title of my page but when I try to finish it I can only get so far and it won’t let me go any further. I get to the point where it wants my email address – I put in the only email address I have and it says that one is already used. I know this…. it is my only email and I want to use it. Can you help me make these changes or else cancel this entire page and I will start over?

    Are you trying to change your display name or your website address?

    To change your display name:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

    If you are trying to change your website address from https://kahaynes.wordpress.com to something else, you can use the steps on this page:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

    Note: Once you change your website address, the old address will be permanently unavailable. Nobody will be able to use it again in the future, including you.

    I deleted the page and I am trying to set up another…. WordPress could have better instructions. I am still seeing kahaynes even tho it should be gone.

    I am now setting it up as kabroderick and having a problem trying to set a password – it keeps going back to kahaynes. Eeeek.
