How do I delete and rename my primary site? How do install the PayPal donation plugin without paying $25/month? (Mine will be a simple one-page site; no blog or anything else except the donate button that links to PayPal)?

With some HTML code and a unique link from PayPal, you can add a Donate or Buy Now button to your site.
The instructions outlined below are a little different from what PayPal suggests. This is because we restrict certain code on sites that don’t have the Business plan or higher.
However, the following instructions will allow you to set up a PayPal button on your site without the need to upgrade:

Regarding your first question: How do I delete and rename my primary site?
Be aware that deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).
If that’s not what you want to do, you can instead try any of the Alternative Options located later in this document:

In case you just want to change your site address, follow the instructions here:

If you follow these instructions for changing your site address, links to your old address, including search engine results, will be broken. To avoid this, create a new site and follow the directions below for Using a WordPress.com Site Address You Already Own including adding a Site Redirect upgrade.
My advice is to read all the documentation before you take any action regarding deleting and changing the site address.
