I want to change my URL

  I want to change my URL to http://gazzellie.com
  When I tried to do that in the dashboard, I was redirected to that URL, but it says it’s not an actual URL (obviously yet) and now I am unable to access my dashboard because it is not a URL. HELP!

  Hi,

  What’s the address (URL) of the site, before the attempted change? You should be able to log into it and access the dashboard as you did before the attempted URL change.

  Unlike the .wordpress.com URL ending of a free WP.com site, addresses with .com endings are not free. They are custom domains. See the Domains support page.

  http://gazzellie.com <— what I tried to change it to. I am unable to access the dashboard.

  What I actually want to do now is delete my site. I have already stopped payment to my host site (Siteground) and now would like to terminate my wordpress site. That is why I need to access the dashboard.

  Your site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, so we’re not able to help with this.

  It sounds like you did not follow the process outlined in the documentation for the open source WordPress software you are using, here:

  https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

  You can try using that info to fix this yourself, else you will likely need to contact support at your hosting provider so they can help you fix this via your hosting control panel with them.
