i want to change my user name (not display name) from mstr2rick.wordpress.com to

teamrick.wordpress.com and keep my content just the way it is. I have looked over your help faq and watched the video but still am not sure.
Under matching blog address I think I want to make the first selection, “create a new blog to to match my new user name” as I think your faq indicates I will be able to copy? my content over exactly as it is?
This will change my url to the new listing, “teamrick.wordpress.com” AND create a new user login, “teamrick”. Is this correct?
What about the old address with the existing content, will it still be accessible? I won’t really need it as I’ve only given out to a few but would be convenient if they could still access it until I can get the new address out?

Yes, you’re definitely on the right path. At the end, you’ll be presented with an option to keep or delete the old blog.

Hey thax Mr. Mac… does that mean I can keep the old blog AND port my data and have them both active with the same content if wanted?

yes, you’ll be able to keep the old blog with the same content as long as you don’t choose to delete it while moving.

ok, just gave it a try… something not right… i still have the same url showing up, mstr2rick.wordpress.com, instead of it converting to, teamrick.wordpress.com
It never asked if i wanted to port anything… content is the same, url is the same… confused, does it take a few minutes to update?
