    Hey Support Team,

I am using a Godaddy hosting and i created a website on the Godaddy builder. Due to too many limitation of that builder, i’ve decided to change the webiste builder to WordPress now.
I don’t want to change the hosting now.

Please guide me a complete procedure to transfer it.

    Looking Forward.
    Thanks.

  • Hey there @booksanalysts! It looks like you’ve built this with HTML. If you’d like, we do have a service that can rebuild your HTML site for you in WordPress, but if you don’t mind copying and pasting a bunch it’s also possible to move your content over manually:

    • Start a site here: https://wordpress.com/start/
    • Go to https://wordpress.com/page and create each page of your site.
    • Use the same name / link if possible (so if you have a services page on wix, call it services here) to help preserve SEO/social links
    • Choose a layout you like; you can substitute the pictures and text with the ones you’re using. Publish, then get the next page done.
    • Note you’ll be able to update the header / footer / menu, too; it just helps to have your pages in place first.
    • You can make each blog post here: https://wordpress.com/post
    • When all of the pages are moved over (and blog posts if you have any can be made here) you can set up the site’s front page / adjust styling as needed, and connect the domain using any of our paid upgrades. From what I can see on the existing site, Premium would probably work well, but if you’re adding othe features and need help choosing a plan, let us know!

Does that help? We’ve got a more extensive guide here, too:

Many different website hosts have their own custom-built website building tools. These offerings help people who don’t have experience coding websites from scratch to create a site of their own. However, people find these drag-and-drop website builders have some drawbacks. Because they’re a one-size-fits-all offering, they tend to lack the personalization and functionality of many modern sites.

And if you get stuck on any of those steps, just update us here and we’ll help how we can. Cheers!
