I want to completely remove the comments section from being viewed

  I want to remove the comments section completely – how do I do this – I don’t see any option anywhere. Thanks!

  This page > Settings > Discussion
  Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.

  We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

  Note 1: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden.   thank you for the links- I’ve tried all of those but the Leave a reply and the comment box is still visible on each page except for the main page. I don’t want it to show at all on the pages. How do I remove it?
