I want to create a ‘Make this your homepage’ button.

I tried searching the net but I’m not 100% sure what to search to get what I want. Essentially I want to place a (html) button/link in my sidebar that when clicked it sets ‘shane3x.com’ as the persons new homepage regardless of what browser they are using.
Appreciate any help in advance.

As far as I know, it would require javascript since you have to send code directly to, and control, the user’s browser. Javascript is not allowed here due to security concerns.

Actually, a search of Google brought this site, http://www.websitegoodies.com/tools/homepage.php , which has some HTML, but I don’t know if it will work here or not. Give it a try and see. It will generate the code for you and then you can copy and past into a text widget and see what happens. If the code is stripped out, or modified when you try to save, then the code is not allowed here.
