  Do you wish to completely cancel the domain defm.me? Please note that when a domain is cancelled, there is a delay in releasing it to the public, and in some cases they are not available to re-register. Instead, if you wish to use the domain on another site, you can point the domain elsewhere by following the instructions below:

  Hey there,

  no I don’t want to have the domain canceled! I registered it separately over at Hover, too.

  I want to untie it from defmat.wordpress.com, i.e. put another website behind defm.me

  I already changed the DNS records at Hover and at WordPress but I think somehow WordPress overrides this as defm.me still redirects to defmat.wordpress.com

  Hi there,

  I’m so sorry, I missed that you just had domain mapping. I have deleted that from your account and refunded you the $13 for that purchase. Your actual domain is safe. You simply need to point the nameservers to your new hosting account, which it looks like you’ve already done.
