I want to delete a site from my account

    Hello Support team,
    I want to delete a website from my wordpress account. If i delete it is the website also deleted? Because it is the site of my old company and i do not have anything to do with it.

    How can I delete me from there without doint any harm to the website?

    Hi there,

    If you wish to delete a free hosted WordPress.com account, you must be logged in under the same username. Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use it.

    If i delete it is the website also deleted?

    It will only delete the site you want to delete and it won’t delete any other sites associated with your account.

    Hello, thankyou for your quick response.

    The problem is I do not want to delete the website. I just want to delete it from my WordPress account. The site is not mine, it is my old companys one. I was once the hoster of that site. Is there a possibility to just delete from my account without deleting the website in total?

    Please, it is very important that this site is just removed from my profile and still online and not deleted. Im not the owner of that site.

    Thanks for that! I removed you as a user of this site. Note that this will break the Jetpack connection for the site since there needs to be a WordPress.com account associated with the site.

    While this won’t affect the site, if they use features of Jetpack like stats and subscriptions, those won’t work unless they connect to a new WordPress.com account. They will be prompted in their wp-admin area to reconnect, so if they do so, they will be able to use those features again.

    If you’re still in contact with them, you could let them know and they can follow the steps here:

    Otherwise, the website won’t be affected.
