I want to delete an old blog but Yahoo deleted my email account
-
Hello,
I used to own this blog https://handmadetheworld.wordpress.com/ a few years back. I went back to delete it to discover that is was linked to an old email address Yahoo had deleted (without asking that). There is no way for me to be able to log in into the blog, because the confirmation email are going to an un-existing email address.
The only way I can prove I am the owner of that blog is by having access to another email that is mentioned on the website in all of my posts (is the same email address I created this WordPress account with – (email visible only to moderators and staff)).
Please advise how can I delete my account if I do not have access the the email address I used for registration.

Only the owner of a site can delete. We have a few more options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form

Hi staff-blorbo. Thank you for the reply. I am the owner of the blog but since Yahoo deleted my email address, there is no way for me to access the transaction ID or the Activation URL. Therefore, I can’t login into my WordPress account in any way.
I would like for the blog to be set to private, how can I do that? I don’t mind if it stays up but I would like for the personal information (email address and photos that contain my real name and that are still on the blog) not to be accessible to anyone.
Please advise. Thank you.

Please email passwordhelp [at] wordpress.com with what details you have, and our account recovery team can look if there’s anything they can do.
