I want to delete my blog and domain entirely

  I have not used this blog in 8 months and would like to delete the domain I paid for when I started the blog.

  I have cancelled the auto-renewal, I have read how to delete the site once the domain has been cancelled but can’t do anything until it’s cancelled.

  I don’t have any problems with the site but I would just like to cancel the domain- I understand I wont get it back and so on and that’s fine.

  Please delete helenlou.com as I do not want to renew or use this domain, ever.

  Please wait for Staff to remove the domain mapping from the blog before you try to delete the underlying .wordpress.com site. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. Note there is a backlog so you will have to wait patiently for Staff help.

  Please do not hijack threads and post off-topic into them. You do not have a domain mapping upgrade that requires removal. know that you must delete your own blog by following these instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/.   If you want to permanently delete your site, follow the guide below:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/

  Please read the warnings and advice before deleting a site, as we can’t revert a site deletion for any reason and the site address cannot be reused.

  If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and people that you have invited can view the site:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
