i want to delete my domain

  I registered a domain tuxtrix.com, on june 6th. After registereing i realised it was a mistake and immediately emailed support for deleting the domain, Since then, I have been trying to get in touch with wordpress support in numerous occassions to delete my domain but no one is answering me. why is that?Now, its been 48 hours since i registered my domain i am not sure how will i get my money back??

  The support response time is absolutely pathetic!

  If you sent in the request then your request should establish that you ask for the refund withing 48 hours. The staff here have a good record of fixing things like refunds.

  I have marked this for staff attention.

  I would be amazed if you did not get a refund. I have also seen in the forum that it can take a few days for the refund to show up on your credit card records.

  Thanks a lot for your reply. I actually want to keep the domain name. However, since WordPress.com does not allow adverts on any kind of domains I am considering a switch over. Thanks a lot for pointing me to the namserver link.

  I have one more question. I want my actual blog computergyan.wordpress.com to be pointing to my custom domain, will changing the nameserver suffice for both?

  If you want computergyan.wordpress.com to point to your new custom domain that is I believe Domain Forwarding – something like $ 12– US a year –

  If all you wanted to do is use the name not on WordPress.COM all you needed to do is change the name-servers to point to your new host and you could have kept the registration here – WordPress.COM is one of the lowest cost registrars around.

  You’re welcome!

  Just keep your blog’s primary domain set to the domain itself, and your WordPress.com blog URL will redirect to it, even if it’s pointed elsewhere.
