I want to delete my WordPress accout!

    Well, first of all I want delete my WordPress account, because I don’t need it anymore. It is irritating when I get so much e-Mails from this page. But I don’t find a delete-button. Please delete my Page and contact me one last time to this e-Mail address: (email visible only to moderators and staff) .

    I hope for a positiv answer.

    Hi there

    To delete your blog you must be logged in under the exact same username with which you created it. To prevent accidental deletion there will be multiple warnings that it cannot be reversed and you will have to click on a link in a confirmation email before your site will be deleted. Take note that there is no way to undo this. Both your blog’s content and address (URL) will be gone forever. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

    You cannot delete your wordpress.com username account. This is for security reasons so others cannot claim your username and impersonate you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

    The only details you were required to provide when signing up for your account was an email address. WordPress.com will never send you spam to that email address and also won’t sell it to third parties, as clearly stated in their privacy policy. You can disable all email notifications from your account settings:

    If you change that email to a throwaway address there will be no way your account could ever be linked to you. Any other details that you added yourself, you also have the power to delete yourself.     If you used your real name as your username you can change that to a random username that cannot be connected to you. The existing username will then cease to exist and won’t be available for anyone, including you, to ever use again: http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
